Purpose and content
The Wind Power Plan shows where wind power is most suitable in the municipality. It is based on updated wind measurements and knowledge about the landscape, nature, cultural environments, and nearby housing. The plan makes it clearer which areas have good conditions for wind power and which areas should be protected or used in other ways.
The Wind Power Plan is a thematic addition to the Comprehensive Plan 2025. Together, they give a shared direction for long-term use of land and water.
Stage in the process
The Wind Power Plan was adopted by the Municipal Council in 2017. It is now in force as an addition to the Comprehensive Plan 2025 and is used when the municipality plans how land and water should be used.
