The municipality of Boden is planning a new detailed development plan for Gruvbergsvägen to enable additional areas for businesses and industry near Boden Industrial Park.

Purpose and background
The green transition and the establishment of the new Boden Industrial Park have created an increased need for industrial and commercial properties in Boden Municipality.
Developing new business areas near the industrial park, with strong connections to existing and planned infrastructure, is therefore a key priority in the municipality’s community development efforts.
Plan proposal
The purpose of the detailed development plan is to explore the possibility of creating new building rights primarily for business and industrial use.
In the northern part of the planning area, there is also potential for the construction of a fuel station, electric vehicle charging points, and a restaurant.
The plan proposal aligns with both the municipality’s comprehensive plan and the detailed comprehensive plan for Torpgärdan, Södra Svartbyn, and Gruvberget.
Process and decisions
The current detailed development plan for parts of Gruvbergsvägen and Häradsvägen has previously been subject to consultation and review. During the continued planning process, the municipality identified a need to revise the proposal, mainly to create better conditions for mass handling within the area.
As the changes are considered extensive, a new review process is required. The proposal is therefore being sent out for a second review (Review 2).
All comments submitted earlier will be considered and presented in the upcoming review statement.

The detailed development plan is on public display for review from 27 May to 18 June 2026.

- City Library: During regular opening hours.

f you wish to submit comments on the plan proposal, you must do so in writing no later than 18 June 2026.

Anyone who does not submit written comments during the review period may lose the right to appeal the municipal council’s decision to adopt the detailed development plan.
