Consultation: Detailed development plan for a part of Boden 56:8 and others - Bofinken

The detailed development plan examines the possibility of developing the area with housing, hotels, and offices in central Boden.

Purpose and background

The Municipality of Boden is undergoing a major societal transformation. This leads to an increased need for housing, more jobs, and expanded services in both the public and commercial sectors.

The detailed development plan aims to create conditions for a hotel and offices on part of the property Boden 56:8. It will also enable housing and offices within the properties Domherren 12, Domherren 17, and others.

Plan proposal

The plan area is located in central Boden, at the intersection of Garnisonsgatan and Lulevägen. The area currently includes the Hildursborg sports hall, Brottarnas Hus, and the Nordpoolen swimming facility.

The detailed development plan is considered to be in line with the municipality’s comprehensive plan and the detailed comprehensive plan for Boden and Sävast.

process and decision

As the proposal is considered to be of significant public interest, it is processed under an extended procedure in accordance with the Planning and Building Act (2010:900).

The municipality assesses that the plan will not result in any significant environmental impact.

Consultation

The detailed development plan is on public display for review from 22 April to 18 May 2026.

You can review the plan at:

  • Citizen Service, City Hall: Weekdays 08:00–12:00 and 13:00–17:00.
  • City Library: During regular opening hours.

Consultation meeting

We will hold a consultation meeting on 22 April, 18:00–19:30, in the Municipal Executive Board Chamber at the Town Hall (entrance from Kyrkgatan).

The meeting will begin with information about the planning proposal, followed by an opportunity to ask questions.

Submit comments

f you wish to submit comments on the plan proposal, you must do so in writing no later than 18 May 2026.

Anyone who does not submit written comments during the review period may lose the right to appeal the municipal council’s decision to adopt the detailed development plan.
