Municipality-led development projects
These projects are owned and run by the municipality to improve your everyday life and your local area. They may involve improving schools, building parks or renovating roads. The goal is a safer and more attractive municipality with better opportunities for everyone.

Boden is developing, growing and changing rapidly. We are in the middle of one of the largest societal transformations of modern times. Our project map shows current construction and infrastructure projects. You can also find information about the plans we are currently working on.
Development projects with external funding
We actively apply for and run development projects with support from external funders. These projects are often carried out in collaboration with others. They may focus on improving existing services or testing new approaches and solutions.
The projects are based on the municipality’s strategic plan. The overall aim may, for example, be to strengthen business development and the labour market in Boden.
Current projects in our portfolio
The Municipality of Boden and its wholly owned municipal companies have a large shared project portfolio of externally funded projects, where one of our organisations acts as project owner.

In addition, the municipality also participates as a partner in several externally funded projects led by other organisations.
How we plan and deliver projects
In our own development projects, we develop ideas and solutions together with residents, associations, businesses and experts. Projects with external funding are developed and implemented in collaboration with local and regional partners.
Projects are planned, tested and delivered step by step. We follow up results to ensure they are safe, accessible and sustainable over time.
The Project Hub
To work in a structured and efficient way, the municipality uses a common project management model. We have also launched the Project Hub, a forum that coordinates this work. It provides an overview, helps us prioritize, and ensures that projects align with the municipality’s goals.
