About the project

Green industries in northern Sweden are growing rapidly. This is also increasing the demand for the right knowledge and skills. Green Future Competence 2.0 builds on experience and methods developed in the previous Green Future Competence project.

The project aims to better prepare the region to meet current and future skills needs. The goal is to contribute to a sustainable and inclusive supply of skills in the Luleå–Boden labour market region.

What we are doing

The project aims to help increase the available workforce and better match people's skills with employers' needs. The work will also strengthen the connection between education and the labour market.

Another part of the project is to attract skilled people to the region from Sweden and other countries. The project will also help employers become more attractive to potential employees. It will create opportunities for employers, jobseekers and education providers to meet.

Timeline and current status

The project runs from March 2025 to December 2027.
