Water Services Plan

Bodens Municipality has developed a proposal for a new Water Services Plan to strengthen the long-term planning of water and wastewater services. The proposal is now on public consultation between 25 May and 21 June 2026.

Bodens kommun has developed a proposal for a Water Services Plan, which is now out for consultation. The consultation period runs from 25 May to 21 June. The plan complements the municipality’s existing governing documents and places a clearer focus on public water and wastewater services for residents, as well as how climate change affects the water and wastewater infrastructure.

The plan is based on the Water and Wastewater Overview and Water and Wastewater Plan from 2021, but also takes into account potential population growth, strengthened regional cooperation with Luleå, and an increased focus on capacity and security in the central water and wastewater facilities in the urban area.

SUBMIT COMMENTS

Comments on the proposal must be submitted no later than 21 June 2026. Please include case reference number KS-2025-940.
