Digital security

Digitalisation can make us vulnerable to cyber attacks that knock out critical IT systems.

You play a part in strengthening Sweden’s resilience by handling information in a safe and secure way, both at home and at work.

Tips to get started:

  • Create strong passwords that use a combination of letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Don’t click on links in emails, or open attachments from unknown senders.
  • Install security updates immediately.
  • Perform regular backups of important information to an external hard drive, USB drive or cloud service.

We use digital solutions every day. By protecting your data and acting safely online, you reduce the risk of fraud and information loss.

Fraud often means that someone pretends to be another person in order to trick you. Be cautious if someone asks for your bank details or electronic identification.

Remember the three L’s (in Swedish):

  • Lämna aldrig ut – Never share passwords or codes.
  • Lägg på luren – Hang up if the call seems suspicious.
  • Logga aldrig in – Never log in with your BankID at the request of someone who calls you.
