Quick summary of each heading on the page
Please note that all forms, digital applications (e-services) and some linked websites are currently in Swedish. Contact Citizen Service if you need help in English.
The event calendar
The event calendar gathers activities and events throughout the municipality. Residents and visitors can see what is happening and sort by date and category.
You can add your own event by creating an account and clicking “Publish your event.” Published events appear on three websites: boden.se, flyttatillboden.se, and visitboden.se.
For best results, use horizontal images up to 10 megabytes in size, ideally 1200 pixels wide and 500 pixels high.
Digital posters at Medborgarplatsen
The digital screens at Medborgarplatsen display events and information facing the pedestrian street and the square. Each poster is shown for about ten seconds before switching to the next one.
Poster requirements:
- Good image quality and appropriate content.
- Portrait format, size A4, A3, or 1080x1920 pixels.
- File format: PDF or JPG/JPEG.
- Include time, date, and any admission fee.
Send posters to evenemang@boden.se.
Digital posters on entrance signs
Boden Municipality has two digital entrance signs welcoming visitors. The screens show images that represent Boden’s sense of closeness, community life, and local pride.
Guidelines:
- Resolution: 864x480 pixels.
- File formats: JPG or PNG.
- Events are usually displayed starting two days before they begin.
- Avoid white and bright colors, which may dazzle drivers.
- Keep the design simple: what’s happening, when, and who the organizer is.
Send material to evenemang@boden.se.
Physical posters and the Poster Service
You can put up posters on the municipality’s public notice boards or use the Poster Service — a collaboration between the Department of Culture, Leisure and Youth and Fixarna.
How the service works:
- Digital submission:
Send posters to evenemang@boden.se by Friday before the posting day. Posters are printed and put up by Fixarna every Tuesday. - Physical submission:
Leave up to eight printed posters in the Poster Service box at the City Library. Use rubber bands to keep them together.
Rules:
- Posters may be displayed no earlier than one month before the event.
- Posting is done subject to time and space availability.
- The Poster Service takes a summer break during weeks 30–32. Send material by week 28 for summer events.
Poster locations:
FöreningsBoden, Gallerian, Pedestrian Street (display case), Town Hall, Nordpoolen, Smörblomman, Björken, and Hildursborg Sports Hall.

The Boden Place Brand
