Boden Municipality’s Cultural Scholarship highlights and supports individuals and cultural actors who enrich the city’s cultural life. Each year, SEK 10,000 is awarded to a deserving recipient.

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The purpose of the Cultural Scholarship is to support and recognize individuals and cultural actors in Boden who have made, or continue to make, significant contributions to cultural life in the municipality. The contributions should be of value for the cultural development of Boden and fall within one of the following fields: visual arts, crafts, design, music, theater, film, photography, literature, cultural heritage preservation, or other areas of importance for cultural development.
WHO CAN BE NOMINATED?
- The scholarship is open to individuals or cultural actors who are residents of and active in Boden.
- Nominations may be submitted by an organization, a company, or a private individual.
- The nomination must state who is being nominated and include a written motivation.
The Culture, Leisure and Youth Committee will select the recipient based on the nominations received. Gender equality and diversity will always be taken into account and actively promoted over time. The scholarship amount is SEK 10,000.
HOW DO I APPLY OR NOMINATE SOMEONE FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP?
Anyone can apply or nominate candidates for the Cultural Scholarship. When the nomination period opens, this can be done via the application form available on boden.se.
HISTORY
Boden Municipality’s Cultural Scholarship was established in 1984. Since then, more than 40 individuals and associations have been recognized for their important contributions in various cultural fields.
