Sävast torg

Sävast torg offers the opportunity to develop housing and services in an established town with good commuting connections to both Boden and Luleå. The site is covered by a local development plan that allows for a mix of building types at varying heights.

Sävast torg is located in Sävast, approximately 7 km south of Boden, with good commuting connections to both Boden and Luleå.

Development rights and planning conditions

The local development plan covers approximately 6.5 hectares and allows for the development of both housing and services in the Sävast torg area.

The plan permits:

  • Three point buildings with a ridge height of up to approximately 32 metres (around 10 storeys)
  • Four point buildings with a ridge height of up to approximately 17 metres (up to 5 storeys)
  • Two apartment buildings with a ridge height of up to approximately 11 metres (2–3 storeys)
  • Development of service functions

The land is partly owned by Bodenbo and partly by the Municipality of Boden.

About the area

Sävast is a town with approximately 3,400 residents, located in a natural setting close to both forest and river. The area has developed over time and today offers a mix of housing, services and businesses.

It includes schools, shops and meeting places, as well as good commuting opportunities. Sävast has a strong local identity and functions as a town in its own right, while its proximity to Boden and Luleå provides access to a wider range of services and amenities.
