The municipality as a partner

At Tjärnbacken, a new residential area is being developed in central Boden, close to both the town centre and the Boden River. Around 200 homes are planned, offering a mix of housing types in a location that combines urban convenience with access to nature.

The project is led by Lindbäcks and Cederfors. The Municipality of Boden contributes through planning, local development plans and preparatory measures that create favourable conditions for development.

The development is being carried out in phases. The first phase includes 23 homes and marks the starting point for the area.
“We have launched an expression of interest and are seeing strong demand. We are now working to get everything in place ahead of the sales launch,” says Lars Bonander, CEO of Cederfors.

The collaboration with the municipality is highlighted as a key factor in the process, where the way of working and the pace of dialogue help move the project forward.
“It is a proactive municipality that is humble and solution-oriented. Their responsiveness and quick decision-making save time and make a real difference in project delivery,” says Lars Bonander.

At Tjärnbacken, a land allocation has been developed into a new local development plan at a pace that, according to the developers, is among the fastest in the country – without compromising on quality.

At the same time, the municipality is carrying out preparatory work on the site and on public land. This helps shorten the time to construction start and creates the conditions for an attractive residential area.
