What is consumer guidance?

Consumer guidance is a free service for residents of Boden. You receive advice on purchases, agreements and complaints. All communication is confidential, and you can contact us by telephone, email or book a personal appointment.

When should you contact us?

  • If you want to know more about your rights as a consumer.
  • If you are dissatisfied with a product or service.
  • If you need information before making a purchase.

What does a consumer adviser do?

A consumer adviser provides advice, support and information about your rights when buying goods or services. They can help with complaints, agreements, interpreting rules and can also mediate in disputes. They also give guidance before purchases such as cars, construction services or other goods and services.

  • Consumer Europe – for purchases within the European Union.
  • The Consumers’ Banking and Finance Bureau – questions about savings, loans, agreements and insurances.
  • The Consumers’ Energy Bureau – electricity prices and suppliers.
  • The Telecom Advisers – subscriptions for telephone, television and broadband.
