Role of the Municipal Departments
Boden Municipality is governed politically. The Municipal Council is the highest decision-making body. The Council appoints committees and boards that set goals, assignments, and directives for the municipal departments. Each department functions as an independent authority.
Our Departments
Boden Municipality has four departments:
- Labour Market and Education Department: Responsible for schools, education, and labour market issues.
- Municipal Executive Department: Provides central functions for management, development, and support in areas such as finance, HR, IT, and communication.
- Social Services Department: Offers support, care, and assistance to people in need.
- Community Development Department: Manages the physical environment, infrastructure, transport, water supply, waste management, properties, facilities, inspections, and street maintenance.
