Release party for cooking game "Your digital cookbook"

Throughout the year, the student company Frostbound Studios, in collaboration with participants from the Reuse Workshop at Gammeläng, has developed a game that makes it both easier and more fun to learn how to cook tasty and nutritious meals – and yesterday, it was time for the release party!

"The game uses what’s called “gamification” – turning something that isn’t always enjoyable into something fun through gameplay. It can make a real difference in their daily lives and also empower them by giving them the ability to cook their own meals," says Johan Boström, unit manager at Gammeläng.

The game can be used as a regular mobile game or as a digital cookbook right in the kitchen. During the development process, ten participants served as game testers, and their ideas and feedback have been valuable to the game's evolution.

An inspiring and successful collaboration between young entrepreneurs from the game development program and the municipal unit for Work and Occupation, demonstrating how tech solutions like this can foster pride, strengthen independence, and provide real value in everyday life.
