New social services act – we’re ready!
As of today, 1 July, the new Social Services Act comes into force – a historic change within the social sector. In Boden, we are prepared. The Social Welfare Board has approved new guidelines, a new delegation order, and a number of non-needs-tested services that can now be offered without individual assessments.
Services such as the Senior Centre, parent support, and counselling sessions will continue as before – but now with mandatory documentation. This strengthens our ability to follow up on and develop our services.
After the summer, we will continue with training and support regarding what the new law means for documentation, case management, and working methods.
