Excuse the mess – new cycle paths are on the way
Work has now started on the construction of new pedestrian and cycle paths to Boden Industrial Park. Civil Works Nordic AB (CWN) has been awarded the contract and the works are expected to be completed in September 2026.
The project also includes various other measures, such as building new bus stops and improving the existing pedestrian and cycle path along Svartbyvägen. This means that new paths will be built from Svedjebacka care home to Boden Industrial Park, and from Södra Svartbyn to Norra Svartbyn via Fyragårdarshöjden.
The project, titled Sustainable mobility and accessibility to Boden’s new industrial area, is financed with support from the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth through the European Regional Development Fund, together with co-financing from Region Norrbotten.
