Military exercise in the north – noise may be noticed in Boden
Next week, the Finnish air defence exercise Protective Pence 2025 will take place. Swedish and Finnish fighter aircraft will participate, and parts of the exercise will be based at Luleå-Kallax Airport – which may mean increased aircraft noise over Boden.
The exercise is led by the Finnish Air Force and will run from 22–26 September. Flights will mainly take place in Finnish airspace, but both Swedish and Finnish fighter aircraft will be stationed at Kallax during the week. Exercise times are Monday to Thursday 08.00–22.00 and Friday 08.00–11.00.
