Sustainability Week 2025

Join us for a week filled with sustainability in both big and small ways – everything from reuse and recycling to guided tours, crafts for children and an after work with a sustainability theme.

Boden’s Sustainability Week will take place on 15–21 September. This year it will be held in September as part of the Climate Neutral Boden 2030 project. Just like in previous years, Boden’s Sustainability Week is a platform to increase engagement, build knowledge and awareness about sustainability and the society of the future. It also aims to strengthen the links between the green industrial initiatives and the local community in and around Boden.

Bring a friend, a neighbour, your class or your family and let the week become an inspiration and meeting place that we carry with us into everyday life all year round.

The programme will be updated continuously.

Forest excursion in Boden – All of Norrbotten takes part!
Meet at 09.00 at Lidl car park in Boden for shared transport to the forest area. Return around 14.30.

Welcome to a forest day where we share the joy of being outdoors and the sense of community, knowing that many others are out exploring the forests on the same day! On Saturday 20 September, local groups from the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation across Norrbotten will explore and survey a forest in their municipality. In Boden, we are invited by a private landowner to a fascinating woodland. We’ll investigate the area and its species, enjoy being out in nature and talk about forests and wildlife. On the way back, we’ll pass Laxholmen in Edefors and do some birdwatching along the road.

Everyone is welcome – members and non-members, with or without prior knowledge. Bring your own packed lunch, clothes for the weather and, if you have them, a magnifying glass and binoculars.
