When healthcare comes closer – appreciated meetings at the service points
During the summer, the municipal healthcare unit visited the service points in Gunnarsbyn, Harads, and Unbyn. They were joined by representatives from the Public Dental Service (Folktandvården) and the regional primary healthcare. The purpose of the visits was to meet residents, answer questions, and share information about health and care in the municipality.
Meeting citizens out in the villages is a valued and important activity – an opportunity for dialogue at eye level, where both questions and concerns are welcomed.
During the day, visitors were offered coffee and a quiz with prizes from Boden Municipality and the Public Dental Service. Municipal staff provided information on digital tools, fall and fall-risk factors, and demonstrated simple balance exercises. The Public Dental Service shared tips for good oral health and explained available dental care support, while the local health centers informed about digital contact options, tests, and how to book appointments.
Together, we are creating the conditions for safer and more accessible healthcare in the municipality.
