He becomes the new CEO of Bodens Kommunföretag

The Board of Bodens Kommunföretag AB has appointed Johan Johansson as the new Chief Executive Officer. He will assume the position on 15 December 2025, succeeding Mats Berg, who will leave the role at the turn of the year.

“We are very pleased. Johan is the right person for the job and brings exactly the competence and experience required at this stage,” says Sead Maglic, Chair of the Board of Bodens Kommunföretag AB.

“He has demonstrated strong leadership in his work at Bodenbo and knows the group well. That gives him excellent conditions to take on the role and continue developing the municipal group.”

Bodens Kommunföretag is wholly owned by the Municipality of Boden and serves as the parent company for a strong group of enterprises driving local development — in energy, business, real estate, events, and community building. The group plays a central role in the ongoing green transition in Boden, where population growth and new business establishments are creating strong momentum.

During the transition period, Johan Johansson will work alongside outgoing CEO Mats Berg to ensure a smooth handover.
