New event: Boden Children’s Days 2025

For the first time, Boden Children’s Days will be held from 20–26 November 2025 – a week where children take centre stage. Throughout the week, there will be films, music, new circus, lectures, and workshops where children can take part, explore, and be in focus.

Programme

20 November – Quiz and Dialogue

Location: Enter Galleria

On the International Day of the Rights of the Child, our staff will be at Enter Galleria for a dialogue and a quiz about the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

21 November, 13:00–16:00 – The Community Development Department needs help from all children in Boden!

Location: Annexet (Old Örjan’s)

Come and tell us how you would like to use the town centre! Through play, exploration, and creativity, you can show us how we can work together to create a place where everyone feels welcome and wants to stay. Suitable for children aged 3–12 years.

21–23 November – Preschool Exhibition

Location: Outside the library
Come and see how Boden’s youngest citizens are shaping the future.

21–23 November – Boden Children’s Culture Festival 2025

Locations: Saga, Forum, Annexet (Old Örjan’s), Rondo, Library, Defence Museum, and Havremagasinet.
The festival offers films, music, new circus, crafts, workshops, and creative activities for children of all ages – often together with adults.
Children can experience culture and try different forms of expression themselves.

Location: Saga
Author and journalist Frida Boisen and her daughter Tilda Boisen share their most important journey together – about the darkest moments and the path toward hope and healing.

Location: Forum
A discussion and exhibition focusing on children’s rights.

26 November, 09:00 – Youth Council

Location: City Hall
Boden’s Youth Council began in 2007, and since last year, the municipality also has an international Youth Council – reflecting Boden’s growing international outlook.
Students from Björknäsgymnasiet’s International Baccalaureate programme take part alongside around 70 student representatives from grade 8 and upper secondary year 2, as well as politicians, civil servants, organisations, and local business representatives.

26 November, 18:00 – Lecture: Juno Blom and Faysa Idle

Location: Björknäsgymnasiet
