Cooperation against doping
Recently, an operational initiative was carried out as part of the joint preventive work against doping by the municipality and the police. The operation was led by the police, and the Municipality of Boden participated with, among others, crime prevention coordinators and food safety inspectors.
During week 4, a number of gyms in Boden were visited by both uniformed and plainclothes police officers. Municipal representatives visited the gyms to, among other things, check which dietary supplements and food products were present, as well as the general order and safety within the facilities.
This type of initiative is a recurring part of the municipality’s safety plan concerning alcohol, narcotics, doping, tobacco, and gambling. The aim is to reduce harmful effects in the community.
