Jump for a healthier Boden – join the “Stand up and jump” campaign

Many of us spend large parts of the day sitting still. In Sweden, one in four people sits for more than ten hours a day, which can have negative effects on health. Through the Stand Up and Jump campaign, Generation PEP and the Municipality of Boden want to inspire more everyday physical activity – in a simple and fun way.

Anyone can take part – anywhere

You can join in wherever you are: at school, preschool, at work or at home. Jump on your own or together with others. Every jump counts, and even a short break with movement can make a difference.

How to join:

• Choose a time to jump during week 5.
• Gather your family, class, colleagues – or jump on your own.
• Do jumping jacks and feel free to count out loud.
• Register the number of jumps on Generation PEP’s campaign website.
• Follow how Boden is contributing to the shared goal.

Boden promotes physical activity

From this year on, Boden is an official PEP Municipality. This means a long-term commitment to making it easier for children, young people, adults and older residents to be more physically active and develop healthier eating habits.

In practice, this includes creating environments that encourage movement, offering healthier options at sports facilities, and developing areas for play and physical activity. Examples of existing initiatives include the neighbourhood playground in Sävast and the activity area at Sveafältet.
