Take care of our water – let’s work together!
Last summer, the residents of Boden showed that together we can make a quick difference by reducing water consumption. Now we need to do it again—proactively—so that the water is enough for everyone, today, this summer, and in the future.
Water is one of our most important shared resources. In Sweden, we use an average of about 140 liters of water per person per day. Consumption often increases significantly when the weather gets warmer. By using water wisely, we can avoid shortages and prevent stricter restrictions.
SMALL EVERYDAY ACTIONS MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Showers and baths account for the largest share of household water use. How long do you shower? And do you let the water run while shampooing your hair, brushing your teeth, doing the dishes, or waiting for drinking water to get cold enough?
If everyone turns off the tap whenever water is running unnecessarily, it adds up to a lot of time and large volumes saved.
If we all do our part in everyday life starting now, we can reduce the risk of emergency measures this summer. Thank you, Boden!
