New playground opens in Norra Svartbyn

The new neighbourhood playground on Fätågsvägen in Norra Svartbyn is now open. There is plenty to explore for both younger and older children – with even more to come in the new woodland play area.

The playground includes climbing frames with slides of different sizes, a sandpit with a digger, a roundabout, crawl tunnel, seesaw and several different swings. Part of the playground has been designed to be accessible.

Woodland play area being completed

Work is continuing on the final part of the area – the woodland play area. At the entrance is Skogsstugan, a small playhouse where children can learn more about trees and berries found in nature. Once everything is complete, a path will lead further into the woodland, with small surprises to discover along the way.

The future grass areas are still cordoned off because the ground is wet and needs time to dry and for the grass to become established.

During the summer, the local playgrounds on Nämndvägen, Musikantvägen and Vaktvägen in Södra Svartbyn have also been renovated.
