How the fees work
The fees are decided by the municipal council and depend on your income, housing costs, marital status, and the type of support you have been granted.
You will never pay more than your calculated fee capacity or more than the maximum monthly fee of SEK 2,660.
Invoices are sent two months in arrears.
How the fee is calculated
The fee capacity is calculated as follows:
- Net income (all income after tax)
- Housing allowance or housing benefit
- Housing costs
- Individual expenses (for example, guardian costs)
- Minimum living allowance
= Fee capacity
Minimum living allowance
The minimum living allowance is the amount you must always have left to cover food, clothing, hygiene, leisure, and other daily costs.
