About the preschool
Bredåker Preschool is in Södra Bredåker, about 20 km northwest of Boden. There are two departments—Skogen and Älven—with 17 places each for children aged 1–5. The nearby nature offers rich opportunities for outdoor play and learning. Meals are cooked in the preschool’s own kitchen.
Meals and food
Meals are prepared on site in the preschool kitchen and served daily.
Pedagogy and approach
Teaching follows the Education Act, the national preschool curriculum, municipal guidelines and a local plan. Children are viewed as competent; play, imagination and creativity are central. Staff have additional training in early literacy and mathematics through Luleå University of Technology. The preschool has been recognised for Sustainable Development.
Safety and cooperation
The preschool strives for a welcoming, safe atmosphere where children thrive and develop. Guardian participation is an important part of everyday work and development efforts.
