About the preschool
Kristallkulan Preschool is about four kilometres from the town centre. There are seven departments: three for children aged 1–3, two for children aged 3–4 and two for children aged 4–5. The outdoor area is divided into three sections with play equipment, a football pitch, woodland, grass and sand—inviting play and exploration.
Indoors you will find a sports hall, studios, rooms for water play and experiments, building and woodwork rooms, language and mathematics rooms, and a restaurant. The restaurant, called Kristallen, also has a stage used for children’s performances.
Meals and food
Two cooks prepare meals on site in the preschool’s restaurant, Kristallen.
Pedagogy and approach
The profile is a safe environment for knowledge development. Teaching weaves together language, mathematics, natural science, technology, creativity, movement, gender equality and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Everyday work is guided by a local values framework known as the Crystal Model, and follows the national preschool curriculum. The goal is a secure, stimulating start that prepares children for school and for life.
Safety and cooperation
All adults work to ensure that every child feels safe, seen and ready to learn. Value-based work is present in daily routines, projects and play. Cooperation with guardians is part of everyday life through clear information and regular dialogue.
