About the preschool
Mimers Brunn in Vittjärv includes a school (preschool class to year 6) and two preschools: Vittjärvsgården (Hugin, Munin, Oden) and Klätterträdet in northern Svartbyn.
Vittjärvsgården shares a yard and cooperates across departments in two buildings. Opening and closing are coordinated between departments and with the leisure centre. The preschool yard is separate from the school yard and includes bike paths, swings, and small hills.
Pedagogy and approach
Work is inspired by the Bifrost approach. Children’s questions and ideas drive long-term themes explored through language, inquiry, and artistic expression. The aim is to nurture curiosity, participation, and many ways of expressing learning. Outdoor life and links to local culture and the environment are part of everyday learning. Multilingual children are supported to develop their mother tongue in partnership with guardians.
Safety and cooperation
Democratic values guide daily life, with adults as steady role models. The close cooperation between preschool, school, and leisure centre creates clear, familiar settings and a secure start to education.
CONTACT
Since independent preschools are not part of municipal operations, please contact the preschool directly for more information and to apply for a place.
