About the preschool
Tallbacken Preschool is in Sävast next to Brönjaskolan and Träffpunkten. The yard is divided into a small and a large area with mature trees for a woodland feel. There are four spacious departments with rooms adapted to children’s interests and needs. Two departments serve younger children starting preschool and two serve older children approaching school.
The younger departments—Humlan and Nyckelpigan—share a common square where children rest and eat together. Fjärilen and Myran share another square used mainly by five-year-olds. Since autumn 2024, Lingon has been part of Tallbacken; it supports children with autism spectrum diagnoses or comparable challenges in communication, behaviour, and perception.
Pedagogy and approach
We spark the joy of learning and build confidence from the very start of a child’s education. Focus areas are language, movement, and creativity. Norms and values are central—being a friend who listens and helps, while daring to express and try. As children grow, we strengthen language and independence and practise solving challenges together. Older children are prepared for what is expected at school so the transition is calm and confident.
Safety and cooperation
Our organisation creates small, clear settings within a larger preschool so every child is seen by familiar, regular staff. The goal is secure children who dare to try new things. Daily contact with guardians supports children’s development and the transition to school.
