Preschool mission

Preschool works closely with the home. The goal is each child’s social, physical and language development. Play is the foundation for learning and is central every day.
All work follows the national preschool curriculum revised in 2018.

Staff have a duty of confidentiality under Swedish secrecy legislation. If staff suspect that a child is at risk, they must report this under Swedish social services legislation.

What you can expect

Action against degrading treatment

There is zero tolerance for degrading treatment and exclusion. All adults act clearly to show that this is not accepted. Staff follow the plan against discrimination and degrading treatment.

Influence and participation

Parents and guardians can take part in many ways. Daily talks with staff, development talks, introduction talks, language talks, open house and meetings when needed.

You are offered at least one development talk each year.

Lifelong learning

Preschool builds a joyful, safe and meaningful start to lifelong learning. The environment is safe and also challenges and invites play and activity.

Safe environment

Children have a safe indoor and outdoor environment in our preschools.

Changing attendance hours

You can change your child’s attendance hours through the preschool portal.

Rules for changing attendance hours

  • When a child gets a sibling, you have the right to fifteen hours of childcare per week.
  • If you are seeking work and get a job, you may change from fifteen hours to full time the same day. Short temporary jobs count as well. When the job ends, the child returns to the fifteen-hour schedule.
  • Parents on parental leave who plan to return to work, and those with the fee category “general preschool”, must submit a new basis for placement at least four months before the date a full-time place is desired.
