About the school

Brönjaskolan is located in Sävast, about 8 km from Boden and 29 km from Luleå. The outdoor environment includes a basketball court, football pitch and sports hall – and the nearby forest provides great opportunities for outdoor learning.

Staff are organised into three teams – North, South and Annex – each responsible for one year group. The school works across subjects to create a holistic education.

All pupils have their own computer and the school makes extensive use of digital learning materials. Study support is available three times a week after school.

Wellbeing and cooperation

The school prioritises safety and a calm study environment. This work is supported by the student health team and clear routines to prevent, identify and address bullying and other forms of degrading treatment. According to the school plan, the safety work includes mapping, rules of conduct developed together with pupils, clear allocation of responsibilities and follow-up measures.

Pedagogy and approach

Competent and dedicated teachers focus on both knowledge development and social growth. Teaching is cross-disciplinary, digitally supported and varied, with strong relationships between teachers and pupils. Pupils experience teaching as meaningful and receive additional support after school when needed.
