Microsoft 365 account for children and students
All children and students enrolled in preschools and schools run by the Municipality of Boden are provided with a Microsoft 365 account. The account is used for the municipality’s digital education services and remains active for as long as the child or student is enrolled.

Microsoft 365 account for children and students
Children and students enrolled in preschool, compulsory school, upper secondary school or adult education in the Municipality of Boden are provided with a Microsoft 365 account with an email address.
When the account is created, personal data such as name, personal identity number, school and class or group are processed. This information is required to ensure that the correct people have access to the correct information in the municipality’s education systems.
What is the account used for?
The Microsoft 365 account is used to access digital services used in education, such as:
- Learning platform Haldor
- Student administration in IST
- Skolon
- Applications such as Word and PowerPoint
The account enables students, guardians and school staff to access the information they are authorized to see.
Children in preschool do not use the email address. The email account is activated when the child starts preschool class.
How long is the account valid?
The Microsoft 365 account remains active for as long as the child or student is enrolled in preschool, compulsory school, upper secondary school or adult education run by the Municipality of Boden.
When enrollment ends, the account is closed.
