About the programme
The Business Management and Economics Programme is for students who want to understand business, law and social economics. You’ll learn how to analyse and discuss issues relating to law, economics and entrepreneurship. It’s a university preparatory programme, giving you broad eligibility for higher education.

Specialisations and courses
You can choose between two pathways:
- Business – focus on business administration, entrepreneurship and leadership.
All students also take core subjects such as Swedish, English and Mathematics.
Opportunities after the programme
After graduation, you can continue to higher education in areas such as economics, law, political science, social work or teaching. Many students use this programme as a foundation for further studies in business or social sciences.
You can also become a Certified Upper Secondary Economist, which is an industry-recognised diploma showing you’ve gained valuable skills sought after in the workplace.
Eligibility and application
To be eligible for the programme, you need passing grades in Swedish or Swedish as a Second Language, English, Mathematics, and nine additional subjects from compulsory school. Of these nine subjects, at least four must be in the Social Sciences (SO). Science subjects (NO) are not required. Applications are submitted through the Upper Secondary School Admissions Service (Gymnasieantagningen).
Student life and options
You can choose electives such as languages, sports profiles or arts courses. There are also opportunities to run your own projects and take part in entrepreneurship competitions. The students work with businesses to learn to network.

Can I become a lawyer with this programme?
Yes, but you must continue your studies at university. This programme gives you the basic eligibility.
Can I start working right after?
The programme is mainly designed for further studies, but you can work in entry-level administrative roles in accounting and administration.
