The school follows laws and has its own governing documents that guide its work. These are intended to ensure a safe, equitable and high-quality education.

They include documents on:

  • safety and a positive learning environment

Our policies, plans and guidelines

Here you will find brief summaries of some of the school’s governing documents that may be important for you as a visitor.

The school does not accept cheating or plagiarism. This is important to ensure fair assessment and grading.

Cheating means using unauthorised aids during tests, such as cheat sheets, looking at others’ work, copying, or using AI-generated text.
Plagiarism means submitting work without proper references, including translated texts.

If cheating is detected, the test or assignment will be stopped immediately. The work will not be assessed. The teacher will decide how the student’s knowledge should be evaluated instead.

The work will not be used as a basis for grading. If there is insufficient material for a major assessment, this may affect the final grade and in some cases result in an F.

Procedure:

  • The teacher speaks with the student and allows them to explain their perspective.
  • The mentor is informed, and guardians are contacted if the student is under 18.
  • The teacher informs the principal, who calls a meeting.
  • In serious or repeated cases, the student may be suspended. The principal investigates and refers the matter to the governing authority for a decision in accordance with the Education Act.

Preventive measures:
The school works actively to prevent cheating through:

  • clear information to students
  • assignments designed to reduce the risk of cheating
  • plagiarism checks for written work
  • digital exam tools such as Exam.net
  • clear exam rules, for example no mobile phones, smartwatches or rings in the exam room

The school aims to strengthen students’ understanding of democracy and how society works, in accordance with the Education Act and the curriculum.

The principal decides whether political parties may be invited. Invitations are limited to parties represented in the Swedish Parliament, a municipal or regional council, or the European Parliament.

The purpose is to ensure clarity, fairness and a sense of security when political parties meet students at school.

The school is politically neutral and does not take a position for or against any party.

Political parties represented in the Swedish Parliament, a local assembly, the Boden Municipal Council, the Regional Council of Norrbotten, or the European Parliament shall be given equal opportunities to participate.

In May, Europe Day is celebrated. On that occasion, only parties represented in the European Parliament will be invited.

Each party may be represented by a maximum of three participants. If the party has a youth wing, at least one representative must come from that organisation.

Formats for visits:

  • Joint hearings or debates organised by the school
  • Information stands in the school foyer from 09:00 to 13:00

Timing:

  • Second week of May
  • Last week of August (election years)
  • Last week of September (non-election years)

Exceptions may be made, for example for Members of Parliament, ministers or Members of the European Parliament.

Conditions for visits:

  • Students should not feel obliged to participate unless it is part of teaching.
  • Visits must not disrupt school activities.
  • Political parties may not recruit members, but may refer to websites or similar.
  • Materials may be distributed in designated areas and at agreed times.
