Student access cards

To help create a safe and secure school environment, we use personal access cards. You use your card to enter the school and must wear it visibly while on school premises.

Access cards at school

From the autumn term of 2026, the school will be locked and you will use a personal student access card to enter.

You can use the following three entrances:

  • Main entrance
  • Rear entrance
  • Sports hall entrance

You will be able to enter using your card and password during the school's regular opening hours.

Why are we introducing access cards?

Access cards are a security measure intended to:

  • prevent unauthorised access to school premises
  • create a safer school environment for students and staff
  • allow staff to identify and, if necessary, ask people who are not authorised to be at the school to leave.

How the access card works

  • You will receive a personal access card.
  • You use the card to unlock the school's entrance doors.
  • You must wear the card visibly while on school premises.
  • The card displays your name and photograph.

If someone is on school premises without a visible access card, staff may check whether they are authorised to be there and, if necessary, ask them to leave.

How we process your personal data

What personal data do we process?

  • Photograph
  • First and last name
  • Personal identity number
  • Information about your access permissions in the locking system

When you use your access card at one of the school's entrances, an access log is created. The log records whose card was used, along with the date and time of entry.

How long do we keep your information?

A user profile is created for you in the system used to manage access to the school. Your profile remains active for as long as you have an access card, which means for as long as you study at the school.

When you finish your studies, your user profile and the information registered in it will be deleted.

Access logs are deleted after 90 days.

What is our legal basis for processing your personal data?

We process your personal data for this purpose in order to perform a task carried out in the public interest, pursuant to Chapter 6a, Section 4 of the Swedish Education Act.

Who has access to the information?

Only authorised staff at the school and Medborgarservice have access to the information.
