Snow clearing first on cycle paths

Boden’s goal is to make cycling easy even in winter. That is why cycle paths and walkways are prioritized for snow clearing and ice control. This is part of encouraging more people to use bicycles as everyday transport all year round.

Tips for safe winter cycling

Cycling in winter can feel challenging, but with the right equipment it is both safe and practical. Studded tires give better grip on ice and snow, while lights and reflectors keep you visible in the dark. Layered clothing keeps you warm even on very cold days. It is also important to keep a steady pace, brake gently, and maintain extra distance from other road users to avoid slipping accidents.

Benefits of winter cycling

Winter cycling helps you avoid traffic jams and delays, while also giving you daily exercise and fresh air. Choosing the bike also reduces your environmental footprint – less car traffic means cleaner air and less noise in the city. Cycling is also affordable and takes up less space than cars, making Boden more accessible and pleasant for everyone.
