Senior travel card

As a senior in Boden, you can travel at a reduced fare on local public transport. With the Senior Travel Card, you have access to unlimited travel during designated hours. In some cases, a pension certificate is required to purchase the card.

Who can get a Senior travel card?

  • If you are 65 years or older, you can buy the card by showing valid identification.
  • If you are 64 years or younger, you can buy the card if you have a pension certificate from the Swedish Pensions Agency.

How to buy the card

The Senior travel card is personal and can be purchased at the Boden Travel Center or at Citizen Service in the Town Hall.

The Senior travel card is added as a product to a regular bus card.

Bring:

  • Identification (if you are 65 years or older).
  • Pension certificate and identification (if you are 64 years or younger).

Price and validity

  • The card costs 560 SEK per year.
  • It is valid for 365 days from the first journey.
  • The first journey must be made within 6 months from the date of purchase.

When can you travel with the card?

The card is valid for unlimited journeys on local public transport:

  • Monday–Saturday between 10:00–14:00, and after 17:00.

Travel on Line 4 (Vittjärv)

On bus line 4 to and from Vittjärv, the card is valid all day. If you travel on line 4 before 10:00 or between 14:00–17:00, tell the driver that you want to use the Senior Travel Card so they can assist you.

Other journeys and tickets

If you want to travel at times when the card is not valid, you can use the same bus card and load it with 10-journey, 20-journey options, or buy a single ticket on board the bus.

Pension certificate from the Swedish Pensions Agency

  • You can order the certificate if you receive a national pension.
  • Order it on the website of the Swedish Pensions Agency, either as a paper certificate or by logging in to My Pages with electronic identification to show it digitally.
