Boden’s parks and green spaces make the municipality beautiful and pleasant all year round.

Our goal
The goal is to make Boden as attractive and welcoming as possible. Planting flowers, trees, and shrubs is highly valued and therefore a top priority.
Planning of plantings
- September–October: Summer flowers are selected and planting plans are drawn for the following year. Orders are placed a year in advance so growers can prepare the plants.
- After summer: Many summer flowers are replaced with autumn plantings of typical autumn plants and evergreens.
- During autumn: We also plant spring bulbs that will bloom the following year.
Year-round in parks and green spaces
- Winter: Planters with evergreen plants are placed out together with light decorations to brighten the dark season.
- Until Easter: Decorations with birch twigs and pansies.
- Spring and summer: New plantings and care of annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees.
