Street sweeping
Every spring, we clean the streets and green areas from the sand and gravel left after winter. The work is done in stages to quickly create a clean and safe urban environment.

How We Work with Spring Street Sweeping
When spring arrives, usually in April, we begin sweeping up the sand left from winter. The exact start date depends on weather conditions.
The work is done in several steps:
- First, we carry out a rough sweep of the town center.
- Then we do a finer sweep of the same area.
- After the center is finished, we move on to priority roads and then to residential streets as needed.
- Sweeping takes place both during the day and at night to minimize traffic disruption.
How Property Owners Can Help
You can make street sweeping easier and more effective by:
- Sweeping sand from the sidewalk outside your property onto the street before sweeping begins so it can be collected right away.
- Keeping storm drains free from leaves and other debris so rainwater can drain properly.
- Making sure trees and bushes do not grow out over sidewalks or streets.
These small steps help keep the streets clean and traffic safe.
