Work tasks
At Café 12:an you work with varied tasks matched to your capacity. Examples:
- brew coffee
- make sandwiches and salads
- receive baked goods from the bakery
- take customer payments
- wash dishes and keep areas clean
- practise social interaction and service
The workload is tailored. Some work full time; others work a few hours per day. The pace varies and is not very physically demanding.
Hygiene and workwear
We handle food and follow strict hygiene rules. No jewellery. No nail polish, long nails or artificial nails. Special workwear is used and washed on site.
Work community and development
The goal is for you to feel safe, get support and grow in your role. You receive pedagogical and practical guidance from a team leader.
Café 12:an is also a meeting place with many regular guests. Working with customers helps you develop confidence and service skills.

Emma enjoys being in the kitchen and preparing sandwiches. Values kind colleagues and solving the small issues that arise during the day.
Support and safety
Tasks and hours are adapted to your needs so you can take steps at your own pace. Clear routines and hygiene rules create a safe work environment. Social training is part of everyday work, helping you feel secure when meeting customers and working in a team.
