Application and assessment
Who can receive rehabilitation?
Rehabilitation is offered to people who have a disability or health problems and who need support at home or live in a residential facility. It is especially relevant if you cannot get to a health centre or if assistive devices need to be tested in your home.
How is the assessment done?
An occupational therapist or physiotherapist assesses what training or measures are needed. The assessment may concern difficulties such as dressing, cooking, moving around, climbing stairs, walking or communicating.
How home rehabilitation works
Everyday rehabilitation
The rehabilitation unit works with everyday rehabilitation. This means practising different activities to maintain or regain abilities.
Measures and support
Measures may include training, advice, testing of assistive devices or assessment and adaptation of the home.
Collaboration with staff
Occupational therapists and physiotherapists sometimes guide home care staff, residential staff or personal assistants who can support you in your training.
