Activities and community
At Åcenter, at least one joint activity is arranged every day. It can be games, baking, reading sessions, music, dance, meditation, film, or barbecue evenings. An activity coordinator helps plan and create a sense of community.
The residence has a large common hall for activities, an outdoor patio with a view of the Bodån River, as well as a sauna and gym. It is also close to cultural activities, shops, cafés, and public transport.
Care and support
Åcenter is an assisted living facility based on needs assessment. Staff are on site around the clock, but not for medical care. If you need care, you receive it through home care and home nursing, just as in your own home. The staff provide support, companionship, activities, and security.
About the residence
Åcenter is aimed at older adults who want to live more safely and enjoy more community but who do not yet need a traditional nursing home. It offers a social and pleasant environment with close access to the city’s services, culture, and public transport.
Apartments and environment
The residence consists of apartments that function like regular homes but with close access to community and activities. Residents describe Åcenter as “a safer home where there is always someone to talk to.”
