Ages 6-11: Primary Years Programme
Our primary years programme is centered around the principles of inquiry-based learning, where students are encouraged to ask questions, explore their interests, and develop critical thinking skills.
Structure
- Designed for students aged 6 to 11.
- Organized around six transdisciplinary themes: Who We Are, Where We Are in Place and Time, How We Express Ourselves, How the World Works, How We Organize Ourselves, and Sharing the Planet.
- Students engage in inquiries that integrate different subject areas and develop their conceptual understanding.
- Emphasis is placed on the development of attitudes and attributes such as inquiry, reflection, and empathy.
Aims and principles
- Develop students' intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills.
- Encourage students to become active, caring, lifelong learners.

Subjects
Language: Students develop their language skills in both their mother tongue and a second language.
Mathematics: Students learn to solve problems and apply mathematical concepts in real-world situations.
Science: Students explore scientific concepts and develop their scientific inquiry skills.
Social Studies: Students develop their understanding of society and culture through the study of history, geography, economics, and civics.
Arts: Students develop their creativity and express themselves through visual art, music, and drama.
Physical Education: Students develop their physical skills and learn the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
Special learning activities
- Action: Students are encouraged to take action based on their learning, such as through service projects or advocacy work.
- Approaches to Learning: Students learn how to learn and develop skills such as research, communication, and self-management.
- Exhibition: Students undertake an independent inquiry into a topic of their choice and present their findings to the school community.
