Mother Tongue Education at the International School of Boden

The International School of Boden (ISB) offers a comprehensive and inclusive education in English, serving students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Recognizing the importance of maintaining and developing proficiency in one's native language, ISB provides a robust Mother Tongue Education program. 

The Mother Tongue Education program at ISB aims to produce students who are not only proficient in English and Swedish but also maintain a strong command of their native languages. The benefits of this multiple language proficiency extend beyond academic achievement, helping students to become global citizens who appreciate and respect cultural diversity.

By supporting mother tongue education, the International School of Boden ensures that its students can navigate and succeed in a multicultural world while staying connected to their cultural roots.

Mother tongue education is available in a range of languages and when a new language is requested we do our best to arrange for a teacher and a class when we have five or more students requesting the same language.

Mother tongue education is available from the first grade/PYP 1.
