Tips for writing a good job application
A CV and cover letter help employers understand who you are and what you can contribute to the workplace.
What should a CV include?
Your CV describes your previous experience, education and skills. Include:
- your contact details
- previous jobs and work placements
- education and courses
- language skills and other skills relevant to the job.
Try to keep your CV short and clear. It is also a good idea to tailor the content to the job you are applying for.
What should a cover letter include?
In your cover letter, explain why you are applying for the job and why you would be a good fit.
Describe what interests you about the job, what experience you have and what you can contribute. Try to give specific examples and keep your letter short.
