Support for employment and education

Jobbcenter can help you move closer to employment or education. The support you can receive depends on your circumstances, your needs and what you want to do next.

Updated:

Please note that all forms, digital applications (e-services) and some linked websites are currently in Swedish. Contact Citizen Service if you need help in English.

Support on your path to employment

We help you find a way forward based on your needs, experience and opportunities. Together, we look at what you want to do and what support might suit you. The goal is to find a long-term solution that can lead to employment or education.

This could include:

  • getting support with your job search
  • trying out a profession through a work placement
  • combining work and studies
  • practising Swedish through work or other activities
  • planning your next steps towards employment.

To receive support from Jobbcenter, you must first be referred to us by a caseworker at the Swedish Public Employment Service, social services or the Coordination Association.

Support when you want to start studying

Are you thinking about studying but unsure how to get started or whether you will manage the course or programme? We can support you both before and during your studies.

You can get help with:

  • finding courses and programmes that match your interests and goals
  • setting goals and milestones for your studies
  • applying for a course or programme
  • planning and completing your studies
  • finding the right support from your education provider
  • getting in touch with teachers and other support services.

If you need help choosing a course, programme or career instead, you can get study and career guidance.
