About the preschool
Kyrkkläppen Preschool opened in January 2025 in completely new premises with a newly designed outdoor area. The building has two floors: the youngest children are downstairs and the older children upstairs. There are six departments organised around two shared squares, plus a large studio and woodwork area and a water-play room. The central location makes it easy to reach by car, bus, or on foot, while nearby woods and playgrounds offer everyday outdoor learning.
Meals and food
Children eat in the preschool’s restaurant where meals are cooked on site by the in-house kitchen.
Pedagogy and approach
Teaching focuses on three areas: mathematics; language and communication; and social skills. Staff use sign-supported communication and visual supports to strengthen children’s ability to express themselves and understand others. Learning is designed to prepare children for school and lifelong learning.
Safety and cooperation
Security, care and children’s health are the foundation. The preschool works closely with guardians through daily dialogue and regular updates via digital channels such as a blog and email.
